Feedback and Complaints

At St David’s Practice, we welcome any feedback good or constructive, we aim to give a high level of service with ease of use, in order to move with the ever changing climate within the NHS Primary care.

If you would like to share feedback with the practice:

1) Write to us! You can post this in the grey prescription request and feedback box next to reception at the surgery.

2) Use our online feedback forms (available on this website)

3) Submit a family and friends questionnaire

4) Respond to the SMS we send which asks for a review of your recent telephone consultation.

5) Email us!

If you have a need to complain, kindly write to or email us.

Once we have received a complaint in writing we aim to respond to confirm receipt within 10 days. We then have 28 days to investigate and take up in practice and management meetings, to then reply to the complaint in letter or email form depending on how it has been received.

We take all complaints seriously and all are taken up within Management and Partnership meetings.

Zero Tolerance

The last year and a half has been a pressing time for everyone.

We are all undergoing pressures that we may not have experienced prior to the pandemic.

In saying this, it is important to be aware that we have a zero tolerance policy. Any form of abuse towards our staff is not accepted, this includes, shouting, swearing and any other forms of threatening or aggressive behavior.

Whilst we understand these are very pressured times, at no point should staff receive abuse from patients, similarly we would not expect patients to be subject to these behaviors either.

For complaints and feedback procedures please see the feedback section.

Update for Services at St David’s Practice

As the Covid19 restrictions ease our appointment system will also change.

Currently, we have face to face appointments available for booking, you can do this by calling reception on 02088937448.

As we slowly open up our face to face appointments, it is important to note that we will continue to monitor the footfall within the practice and waiting room so that we are able keep up with ever changing adjustments being made in line with R-rates and new variants.

Inevitably, the face to face appointment are being booked fast, meaning there is likely a wait of a week (sometimes more) to see a GP face to face. However, in saying this, there are many way to contact your GP and be effectively treated.

  1. eConsults; can be accessed via this website, alternatively you can follow link sent via SMS by reception. The consultation forms only take a few minutes to complete and will be triaged (reviewed) by the GP within 48 hours. This most commonly incurs a phone call with the GP or alternatively if it is for administrative help, the admin team will endeavor to attend to your query with 72 hours.
  2. Push Dr; A video consultation with a GP, normally within 3 days. You can download the app on your smartphone, once signed up you can see the array of appointments available to have via Video consultation. This can be used for patients above 2 years, if under the age of 16 a parent must be present.
  3. SystmOnline: You can use this along side the NHS app to request prescriptions, see vaccination records (this includes the Covid vaccines) and see other various information on your records.

If you call to book an appointment, and you have any of the following symptoms:

  1. Persistent Cough
  2. Temperature
  3. Loss of sense of taste or smell etc.

you will be place on a telephone triage prior to any face to face appointments being made. This is to lower the risk of infection to both patients and staff members within the surgery.

If you have a face to face appointment but develop symptoms prior to the appointment you should NOT attend but simply call reception to rebook your appointment.

You are still expected to wear a face covering in the surgery at all times unless informed otherwise. This is especially important when coming in for a face to face appointment to see Nurses, Phlebotomy (bloods) or GP, due to the inability to socially distance during examinations.
